For over forty years, Dieterich Spahn has been creating stained glass windows from his studio, presently located in Minnetonka, Minnesota. To date, he has completed over 3,700 works. Though he primarily creates liturgical art, he has done commercial, residential, and educational installations as well. He has worked with Peter Dohmen, reknowned liturgical consultant Frank Kacmarcik, Gunther Uecker, and nationally recognized architect Ed Sovik among others. He was educated in the Bauhaus tradition by Professor Werner Lenzen, a student of Paul Klee, and the tradition of Johan Thorn Prikker by Professor Karl Scherer.
